Lisa Truong White Lotus Junior Executive to Receive Two College Scholarships

Today, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of Lisa Truong, one of the first participants of our esteemed Junior Executive Program.

Lisa Truong, a graduate of Franklin High School, embarked on her journey with the White Lotus Foundation fueled by a deep desire to solidify her Asian identity and foster cultural appreciation. Joining the White Lotus Lion Dance Team allowed Lisa to immerse herself in a captivating showcase of culture, subsequently enabling her to form a profound connection to her roots. Now, Lisa is set to embark on another exciting chapter of her life as she attends the prestigious University of Southern California, where she will major in health and human science. With an unwavering commitment to fostering mutual trust and communication,

Lisa aspires to bring together diverse cultures, celebrating and sharing the beauty of each unique heritage while striving towards a common goal. During her time as a Junior Executive at the White Lotus Foundation, Lisa has not only excelled in coordinating complex community events but has also spearheaded a remarkable give-back program in collaboration with OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Through this initiative, she handcrafted heartfelt gifts and letters for children at the hospital, spreading joy and warmth in the lives of those facing illness.

In recognition of her outstanding achievements and dedication, Lisa has been bestowed with two prestigious scholarships that will contribute to her college education at the University of Southern California. The Hsu Memorial Scholarship, a community-backed initiative, supports Asian students pursuing higher education. Those who share the same mission are encouraged to donate and continue fostering the dreams of talented individuals.

Furthermore, Lisa has also received a scholarship with Local Grown, whose goal is to provide community-funded scholarships targeting, but not limited to, students of color within the State of Oregon.
